"Coming from overseas and being completely new to custom home design and construction, going through this process could be a daunting and potentially frustrating exercise. We have heard some horror stories about construction projects and rarely heard of exemplary situations. I attribute this as much to the clients as I do the construction company. We have learnt that the better the communication, the more time and thought you invest and the more you work with your builder as a partner, the better the result. There are son many moving parts in the construction process, and so many different vendors and craftsmen, etc. You need to consider your builder as a partner in the project, and do all you can to help them deliver what you expect.
